Report from "opening day",
Several of our crew had last minute obligations, so it was just my son & I. Boat ready, bait made & a early turn in Fri. night! Up at 0400 and on the dock by 0430.Out Perdido pass, to the bouy, wind blowing better than 25 mph, waves > 3ft.and sloppy ..... not in the dark in a 24' C/C, just no fun! Decision made, breakfast at Tacky Jack's and a nap. Thinking the forcast was wrong about increasing wind & waves we waited & headed back out at 1030. Hopped public #'s and picked up a few snapper & a nice gag. By 1300 the wind & seas had decreased nicely so we dropped the hook on one of the perdido pass bridge #'s and got serious! Pulled the hook around 1600 with a limit of snapper, several gag grouper, 2 sheepshead & a 7 ft.bull shark (released). All in all, a good day!

Breakfast at Tacky Jacks and a nap, yep been there before. We went out of Panama City on opening day had four limits on reds, we were catching small keepers but they were all keepers. I don't know where the small snapper were, that was fine with us.I'm goin down to OB this weekend and going out to the trysler grounds and try to hang some grouper. Maybe I'll have something to post when I get back.
