| My picture was chosen to be the feature story, with a 12.2 lb. Mangrove Snapper. I've caught plenty of these fish over the past year, at about the same size, if not bigger. Does anyone know the Alabama state record? |

Looks like there were 21 new state records for Alabama this year including:
Snowy grouper
Black grouper
Silk snapper
Wahoo
and a pending swordfish
That Mangrove Snapper was submitted last year
Fishing in Alabama looks pretty good.

If anyone wants to peruse the records for Alabama:

That Cubera snapper must have been an awfully long boat ride, I doubt they caught it under the bridge.

We are planning on spending New Year's Eve in Orange Beach this year. Fishing on new year's eve and new years day brought us a lot of good fortune last year- I think we'll try it again. I want to get geared up to beat the state record. 2007 is going to be the year!!! I hope to see some of you down there.
