Ahoy Bottom Bangers,
Blessed with wonderful weather and abundance of live bait, things are really
happening here in the great State of "South Alabama". Even with the slow start ,
we have been able to supply enough live bait to keep everyone happy with full wells.
Going on our third year and making a strong impression, "We are here to stay".
Perdido pass fishermen can count on us for their Live Bait needs.
Hats off to Captain Pete Fill and first mate Brian Beason on the Yankee Star for
their State record grouper (67.95 lbs) caught by Sherry Bolen of West Virginia on a
live cigar minnow. Captain Peter is a loyal customer who buys live bait daily giving
proof “nothing catches fish like live bait” We are proud to be a part of the Orange
Beach fishing industry and we are proud to supply this areas highest quality live bait.

I would like to invite all fishermen who are looking for live bait to call us at 850-774-8300
for daily bait report. If you do not see us on the barge across from Outcast Marina,
it doesn’t mean we are out of bait. And please always contact us on VHF Channel #80
by saying “BAIT BOAT”, before running up on us while trying to catch bait.
All the best,
Rodney Farmer (FISH RUNNERS)
"Live Bait Sense" on how to procure that livewell full of fresh bait:
-Call first to find out our locations
-Start your livewell long before you pull up to get bait to ensure it's working properly and that there is no foreign chemical residue from your cleanup the day before
- Know in advance the amount of bait you would like to purchase
-Idle speed from a safe distance is appreciated and those who do will be rewarded for your respect and courtesy.Remember-speeding to the live bait boats will not increase your chances of getting bait.
-Be ready when it is your turn. use your VHF to communicate with us
-Don't be afraid to ask questions about the size and condition of the bait which varies everyday due to conditions beyond our control,ie.predators, ocean swell, tide, temperature or theft
-Fishing near the bait boats will greatly decrease your chances of being able to purchase bait from us.We try to fish away from the fleet whenever possible and expect the same respect from others
-Once you have purchased your bait, idle away slowly before throttling up your boat
