Report from Joey Yerkes of "Fresh Live Bait Company" in Destin Florida
March 30 2007
"I don't know how I could be so swamped with no cigar minnows yet to speak of .We are on an"Anyday Standby", and mark my words, we have four very hungry men waiting to cast net bait until our arms fall off.Just as soon as it happens here, Panama City, Pensacola or Orange Beach , I will let you guys know the good news.I will know the first day anyone catches. On a lighter note , We have had a good number of Cobia and Pompano caught already.Waves of both species have been an every other day or so occurance so don't be surprised to have a big catch of either, or just a beautiful day of good weather with a few fish. I'll take both as opposed to more winter.I believe this warm weather and water pattern will allow us to break our record of April 12th as being the first real day of live bait sales.Take care and I will keep you posted , I promise."
